We would like to inform that Dr. Booma Soundararajan been awarded the All India Gold Medal in Cardiology by National Board of Examinations under Ministry of Health, Government of India for being the topper of the National level examinations.
Dr. Booma Soundararajan who completed her Cardiology Training Programme in 2017 from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences Bengaluru.
We wish to congragulate her and the Department of Cardiology under leadership of Dr. P.K. Dash for this achievement. The department has four of its students securing Gold Medals in the last 10 years Every year close to 30 DNB Cardiology students from across the country come to observe the case presentations and learn under Dr. Dash before their DNB practical examination. Department of Cardiology also is an examination center for DNB practical examination for the last 5 years.
The Hospital has total of 6 gold medals so far across the specialties. It may not be out of place to mention that DNB students from the hospital enjoy a near perfect pass percentage since inception which is a stupendous achievement considering the low pass percentage in the country.
