Surgical Range and Technique

A majority of coronary artery bypass procedures are performed off-pump (OPCAB), without the heart-lung machine.
Valves are repaired rather than replaced wherever repair is feasible; replacement uses mechanical or tissue prostheses as indicated.
Aortic aneurysms are treated according to location, including aortic root replacement with valve conduits or grafts and re-implantation of the coronary buttons.
The congenital programme covers the full range from palliation to complete repair — ALCAPA re-implantation, AV canal repair, AP window closure, ASD and VSD closure, coarctation repair, Blalock–Taussig shunt and bi-directional Glenn.
Around a third of the surgical volume is paediatric, supported by an in-house perfusion team and dedicated paediatric bypass circuits.
