REPORT ON GRADUATION & LAMP LIGHTING CEREMONY

 The graduation ceremony for the 3rd batch of B.Sc. Nursing and Allied Health Sciences and Lamp Lighting Ceremony for the 8th batch of B.Sc. Nursing students was held on 29th February 2016 from 9.30 am to 11.30 am in conference hall, SSSIHMS. The Chief Guest of the day was Dr. K.S. Ravindranath, Vice-Chancellor, RGUHS, Bangalore. Around 31 graduates, Novice Nightingales, their guests and other invitees brought a grandeur atmosphere to the programme. The ceremony began with an academic procession with the Chief Guest, Director SSSIHMS, Principals of various faculties, and Asst. Professors of College of Nursing SSSIHMS, Bangalore.

The programme started with an invocation by vedam group students and lamp lighting by esteemed dignitaries. Prof. Mrs.A.E.Manjuri, Principal, College of Nursing welcomed the gathering. Dr. D.C. Sundaresh, Director, SSSIHMS honored the chief guest.

First year B.Sc. Nursing students lit the lamp by symbolic of entry into sacred field of Nursing. Oath was administered by Mrs.Vasanthi, Incharge Nursing, SSSIHMS. The fresher batch offered a dedication song to Bhagawan.

Later graduates took their pledge to fulfill the expectations of founder and they were awarded the Gold medals and degree certificates.

Dr. D.C. Sundaresh, Director, SSSIHMS in his speech congratulated the students and stressed on the importance of nursing profession in patient care. Dr. K.S. Ravindranath, Chief Guest congratulated the graduates and New Nightingales and highlighted the quality of Nursing education and etiquette to become a noble Nurse in his speech.
