THEME
An adequate, competent and motivated health workforce can save lives and is an important building block for strengthening health system. Quality assurance in nursing is about ensuring adherence to quality standards as mandated by nursing regulatory bodies.
Many nurses are familiar with the words “quality assurance,” most are not directly involved in the process.
Because of increased requirements for license and accreditation, and an increased desire for cost-containment nurses are becoming an active participant in quality assurance programs.
