In keeping with our founder’s vision of providing quality healthcare and education free to one and all, the radiology departments of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences Prashanthi Nilayam and Bangalore have been organizing CME programs since Nov, 2009 on various radiological sub specialities under the aegis of SACRED (Sri Sathya Sai Academy of Radiology EDucation). Till date we have conducted 16 such CMEs.

Course Highlights and objectives:
  1. The 3-day course will cover advanced MR Imaging of all systems of the body.
  1. The faculty include internationally renowned radiologists  from US, UK and India.
  1. The sessions will cover essential and advanced topics through didactic lectures, case-based discussions and problem-solving approach to cases.

Pre-conference:

Primarily targeted  at technologists and  1st and 2nd year residents who are new to MRI. The lectures will cover basic physics and MR interpretation.

Registration is separate for pre-conference. The form is available on the site.

Note: No diet charges. There is no lunch provided at the end of the session.

3-day conference:

  1. Targeted at final year residents and practicing radiologists who wish to specialize in MRI.
  1. No Registration fee for the entire course.
  1. Diet charges of Rs. 1000/- for entire 3 days will be charged. This includes morning and afternoon tea and  lunch every day.
  1. Accommodation to be arranged by the delegates.

Given below is useful information on reaching the conference venue, Hotel accommodation availability around the venue.

  1. Participation Confirmation:

Your participation will be confirmed within a week of registration after confirmation of receipt of all details.

 

  1. Reaching the Venue:

Whitefield is on the outskirts of Bangalore, and is considered one of the best industrial area in south India. It is also the home of the Sri Sathya Sai Super Specialty Hospital, which is near ITPL, the International Technology Park, where most of the innovative computer companies are located.

a) Travel to Whitefield

Please note that there are two Sathya sai hospitals in Whitefield. Make sure you confirm with the taxi and bus drivers that it is the Super speciality hospital near ITPL / Big Bazaar and NOT the Sathya Sai General Hospital.

From New International Airport: The exit from the new airport goes either to National Highway 7 or to Bangalore, where an exit to Whitefield may be taken. Whitefield would be reached in about an hour, maybe less (Assuming no traffic).

Volvo air-conditioned public transport service BIAS (Bangalore International Airport Service) is available from the Airport to ITPL / Sri Sathya Sai Hospital

Bangalore Taxi Pickup: Meru taxi services are available outside the airport. Airport drop to Whitefield is currently approximately Rs 900.

From Majestic (Railway station and Bus stand):

Direct buses to Sri Sathya Sai Superspeciality hospital are available from Platform No. 17 at the city bus stand.Volvo air-conditioned public transport service will cost a little over  Rs 75/-.

From Whitefield Railway station:

Those getting down at Whitefield Railway station should go the Kadugodi bus stand adjacent to the Railway station. Direct buses to the hospital are available every 15 mins.

From K.R Puram Railway station:

Those getting down at K.R Puram Railway station can come to the main road and take any bus towards hopefarm / ITPL and get down at BIG BAZAR,. From the junction, it is a 5 minute walk to the hospital.

b) To the Venue:

After reaching the hospital, come to Gate No.1. You will be guided to the venue (Ground floor – Central dome conference hall) from there by our staff.
